Relocation

Due to unforseen error, I am going to have to relocate this blog to another website. The new address for the site is www.freewebs.com/LocheDuvall . Everything should be up and running there very soon, and I am also able to add a bit more there as well.

I couldn't wait...I mean, can you blame me?

The topic of this test is games.  Gaming online for money.  Let's see people jump all over this one.  I have a few different topics on this, and only 1 surprising reccomendation.  I am not sure if I'm more surprised that there was one, or that I'm surprised which one it is.

First Game - www.moola.com

This is a genius idea, you get 1 cent for free, and you play double or nothing games with another player.  You just watch an ad to pay for your initial free penny, and go from there.  The maximum buy out?  Gotta be low right?  $10,000,000.  Ok, they ask for money eventually?  Nope.  What's the catch then?  The odds.  The odds of flipping a coin correct enough times to actually make doubling up EVER worth your while are astronomical.  Considering it takes you at least about 3 minutes just to get through a game, it would take you forever to get enough to make it worth your time by playing the odds.  I will give them this though, the games are original yet familiar.  Roshambo, and Hi-Lo are two, but they have a twist.  Another I liked was some Gold Rush game.  It's basicly betting on what your oppenent will bet.  It's fun, but it all takes too long for me to consider profitable.  I fully reccomend this site if you enjoy the games, and want a chance at some cash along the way.  The 10,000,000 is legit as far as I can tell, and all you need to actually claim it is to verify that you exist via a text message or a purchase of some kind.  The other cool thing, they have a refferal system.  You get a certain percentage of what your refferals, and their refferals get.  There are 4 tiers, and you can end up with over 100 people under you that could make you money.  Like a pyramid scheme with a floor.  (Hands credit to Essidus for that line)  My refferal link is at
http://www.moola.com:80/moopubs/b2b/exc/join.jsp?sid=4d544d744f5451304d7a413d-2  if you wanna help me bank some cash.  BTW...the site is invite only in it's current form.

Second game - www.cashcrate.com

SURVEYS!  Oh joy, surveys.  I spent 2 hours of my time...*ahem*...I wasted 2 hours of my time filling out these surveys.  I now have over 1,000 emails in my once perfectly un-known email address.  What did I get for my 2 hours?  3 bucks.  Hey, it's the biggest payout yet, but it was boring, tedious, and not worth my perfectly good email account.  I have since joined a survey protection program under an assumed hotmail identity.  Cashcrate also requires a minimum balance before you can cash out...screw it, keep my 3 dollars!!  Oh, the redeeming quality about Cashcrate, they also have a refferal program.  If surveys DO interest you...and give a fake email if they do my refferal link is

Third Game - www.ANYMMORPG.COM

Yes...something that's actually a game!  Ok, this almost breaks the rules of startup cost, but here's why it doesn't.  I'm assuming at LEAST 20% of the people who read this and actually got this far have a WoW account or something similar.  Don't hide it, you know you might have played a little.  So, now that you may already be invested, let's look at the other 4 out of the 5.  Secondlife.  There, no startup cost, it's not underpopulated, I'm covered.  Now to the point, the idea here is that online content and services to create and/or aquire such content can be quite lucrative.  People in secondlife pay serious Linden or whatever for custom content.  Linden can be exchanged for cash at some ludicrously low rate, but considering you didn't ACTUALLY have to buy the materials to make that custom T-shirt, you have nothing to pay back, and you got off easy.  Everywhere else...not so much on the custom, but more on the aquiring.  If an MMO was something you were already interested in, or are in, consider selling what you don't need through a 3rd party for extra cash.  I know a lot of people who paid for their subscription by playing and selling items on Everquest.  EQ is a little less on demand now, but I hear WoW is thriving.  So make a cute little druid chick and get hit on by some 13 year old boy who doesn't understand his own sexuality for crap and make some cash.  Yes...that did happen to me in the 20 minutes I played WoW...complete waste of 3 dollars.  Maybe I can talk CashCrate into a deal about that?

Fourth Game - www.NetWinner.com

I'm gonna say this now, here's my refferal link - http://www.netwinner.com/signupCode/Loche

I wanted to get that out there because this site is the best looking one I could find.  5 stars, 2 thumbs up, all that and a bag of chips, I love this site.  I've played for about 1 hour now, and I made 1 cent.  1 freakin penny.  But you know why I love it?  I didn't have to do hardly any extra work for that penny, it was all chance, no skill, and best of all, NO RISK.  It's non intrusive, completely free of hassle, and it's actually a little exciting for when you remember you're playing it.  Here's what you do.  Login, sign up da da da da da...Ok, ready to play?  Pick 4 two digit numbers and a 5th single digit...you know...like the powerball.  Now, click the little win button and wait...did you win?  Probably not.  Do this 10 times and get bored.  Now, hit Quick Pick.  It picks all the numbers for you, then click win again...and same result, you probably didn't win anything.  But think of it this way, you can do that while your doing all the stupid little crap you do on the net.  Talk to friends, stumble, write an essay, or THIS BLOG.  I could have made 1,000,000 dollars while writing this, and it took me about 10 seconds to actually do, at no cost.  It's like being able to play the lottery twice a minute for free.  The catch?  Yeah, there is one...you have to watch or listen to ads on the sidebar of the game.  But they don't get in the way of the game.  I'm not telling you to mute your computer or anything, but it's an option.  I actually listen to the ads.  I mean, if I actually won the million, I'd feel bad if I didn't buy something from them.  Two other important notes about this site:  You get 1,000 points for signing up, which is worth $1, and you get 500 points for reffering someone.  You can also only cash out in intervals of $25 for gift cards.  Big deal...one of the gift cards is for Mastercard...where on earth will I find someone to accept that?

Fifth Game - www.treeloot.com or www.grandprizecentral.com

I used to know this site as Treeloot.  Click a tree, don't win a prize.  The idea was there were about a gillion pixels to click on, and you could win a prize by clicking the right one.  Well, they've changed a lot since then.  No cash prizes that I could find, just 4 drawings you could exchange points for tickets too.  Yeah...thanks, but I'll pass.  If you like Sodoku, they've got a good game of it, and by all means, go for it.  I didn't see a refferal program, so I won't shamelessly plug my own account, but even if there was, I seriously considered not checking for the link.

Alright, that concludes my games for money portion.  Final result,   http://www.netwinner.com/signupCode/Loche
wins.

Close follow up is anything you can do in an MMO.  That is by far the most interesting, rewarding, and fun.

This week's project

I was planning on dedicating this week to Forum's that pay you for submitting content.  However, with the 2 major sites I had found, I'm having issues with 1, and the other is a waste of time.  Because of this, if I ever get the 1st to work, I will report it later with another site I have in mind.  But while I'm here, I'll tell you about Money Talk Pro.  What the site does, is pay you per post you submit.  As a free member, you stand to make .02 cents per post.  Let's make sure we're all on the same page here, that's $0.0002 per post.  Ok, fair enough, I'm not doing much work with that, what's the maximum I could make?  Thankfully, the guys at MTP were kind enough to explain very simply in their FAQ as a free member you can only withdraw $5.00 per month.  You can Withdraw $20.00 per month as a paid member ($5.00 / month) and you make twice as much per post.  There are other ways to make money, other than posting, so don't dismiss it.  They look like they run a good site, where you could make some spare cash while at work or surfing the net.  You could even get paid for chatting with friends or playing games.  But as far as this experiment goes, the work is not worth the outcome.  I rate it *** out of 5, just because it's not a bad idea.  It is impossible to actually make any career out of it though.

Giving advice for cash

Alright, this week I focused primarily on 2 sites which offer to pay you for giving advice.  First glance I thought "I don't even have a GED, how am I supposed to be qualified for giving someone advice?".  Fair enough question, right?  Both sites meet my requirements though, namely, that I can legaly participate.  You don't need any special certification to sign up as an advisor with either site, but it obviously helps.

The first sight I tried can be found at www.kasamba.com .  The way it works is that you sign up as an "expert" of a certain topic.  From there your profile is visible with all of your credentials.  You can go as big as philosophy and advanced psycology, to helping with gardening, or in my case, video gaming.  Now, as of yet I have not made any money in this site, but I did have an offer from someone to help with some networking issues.  My offer to them apparently wasn't accepted, but at least it's proof that the system works.  Now, the thing I liked most about this site, and the reason why I'm still signed up, is that I get to choose how much I charge for my service.  Minimum is $0.17 per minute, but you can charge however much you want above that.  Conferance methods are in the form of telephone, which they call you through an 800 number and a code, or through chat on their website.  You can also quickly answer questions through email for a flat fee, or add some extra if research is required.  I haven't had any problems with this site, and fully reccomend it to anyone who regularly checks their email.  For a few extra minutes of your day, you can help someone, and make some extra cash.

Alright, in second place, I give you a website called Jyve.  www.jyve.com .  The reason I brought this in second place, is because I've given advice on this site, and haven't seen any money from it.  It's also work.  I have to find a question to answer, and hope someone hasn't answered it first.  There is no obligation for someone to pay you for your advice, which they should, because you have to wade through many idiotic questions that obviously can't just be answered on a website.  Questions like "What is the meaning of life?".  I take that back, because they aren't questions like that.  That is probably the most asked question on the site, word for word.  You get paid by tips.  If someone likes your answer, they can tip you.  It's a great site for getting advice, but not so much for giving.  They also have this program to download, which updates every 30 seconds or so.  It filters asked questions and sends them to you based on what you say you'd like to answer.  That's great and all, but it doesn't exactly run in "stealth" mode.  Every time it updates, your computer kind of re-allocates it's priority to the Jyve program.  Anything you were typing, or playing with, suddenly doesn't work until you re-allocate it back.  It's fine when you aren't using your computer, but seriously, how hard is it to just NOT do that?  I'd like to be able to type a full URL without inerruptions all the time.  Because of this, I have quit using Jyve.  I do not reccomend it for anything but casual using, and even then, it's work.  Like the header says, this whole project is about doing as little work as possible.

With that, my ratings for the sites are:

www.kasamba.com -  *****

www.jyve.com - **

Living a dream of being lazy, only, without actually being lazy.

Here's the deal:  I want to make easy money.  Who doesn't?  Well, I came across one of many sites that suggests ways for you to make money online.  I always think these things are such a scam, but I have to wonder "If it's such a scam, why is it always around?".  Something has to be working here, and I want to find out what, why, how, and more importantly, how can I best use this to my advantage?  Well, I came up with an experiment that I'm putting myself through.  I'm going to test almost every get rich quick scheme I can find on here and post the results of each experiment.  Following this post, I will have a few of the different sites I have come up with so far.  Current number I have is 16, but I'd like to get at least 25, if not closer to 50.  I want to deliver an accurate breakdown of what I was able to make from each site, as well as how much time and effort was invested in to doing so.  This site itself is actually step 1 of the experiment.  I hope to gain as much energy behind this as possible to help keep this project going, and blogging is one thing on the list of how to make money online.  Rather than actually writing 5 blogs like I'd be doing for some topics, I'll just stick with the one for simplicity sake.  If anyone has any questions, comments, or ideas for me, please contact me.  This project is just as much for anyone reading this as it is for myself!
